Whippped Cream Clouds

A temptress revealed?

Slowly,surely she emergres

From the clouds

Of whipped cream dreams

Passion's extremes,fused

To the lips of fleeing Muses

Can the will for exuberance

Survive the scrutiny of delicate lace

She has no discernable face

Yet her presence lashes out

Honey and styptic alchemy

Ingratiating, patronizing

A paradox of self centered whims

You heart and dreams at her feet

Dwelling within her, nothing discrete

She'll offer you maidenly love

Then with your heart

Scurrry in full retreat

To the clouds of whipped cream dreams

Forgive me, Jon, for the visions your title brought to my mind:
"Seems someone has snatched Jon's hot-fudge sundae, topped with oodles of whipped cream, from his hands!" Naughty me...or may be my light-headed mood this morn :o)
Re-read, and find your poetic words deliciously enticing...

Such deep thoughts of a goddess perhaps, one such as Venus, all sheathed in immeasurable beauty. What dreams are made of....
