Perspectives, varied and intense. Thanks to Regis for the inspirational thought.

At the fringes

of reality

contemplation's fantasies

intermingle  to tantalize

explore possibilities with joy

our imaginations

not simple toys

but fertile ground

to theorize

and expound

'til reality rears

and plans come

to earth tumbling down

was it a sign

an omen

we romanticize

truth we almost found

what shut it down ?

You convey well the concept of being "on the edge" and I am familiar with that. Well done, Jon. Thank you. Love and peace to you,

MY favorite place to be Jon, AT THE FRINGE! YOU got me thinkin'-dreamin' and whatin' LIKE NOW! To be on fringe, that edible challange to bite into what is NOT and what can be! Building an existence that could still exist! The passion brought forth in a shivering doubt. I embrace your heart and thoughts Jon, Love this Poem! I must read "many" today and be inspired all over again! Ahhhh... Carry on... my good fine man...

It's risky at the fringe. That's why poets go there. To experience the thought. Some thoughts are best not acted upon. We must let our conscience be our guide and not the conscience of others.

Reality and fantasy...dangerous to intermingle, as you have shown us, Jon. I like keeping my feet on the ground...never have far to fall that way :o) But I do like to fantasize about snow on a hot summer's day...

Without tantalyzing fantasies of clouds once in a while to float away on, the harsh cold ground of realities would be unbearable. Well Done! Deborah
