She has loved Not

Some have loved not.

Your melody lingers

in the back roads of my memory

enchantment surveyed my heart

a destination you toyed with

before disembarking

on the train of short goodbyes

for you have traveled loveless paths

singing broken hearted melodies

to the ears of many

who unwisely settled into the beguile of you

arrows of folly disguised as love

you loosed upon any that neared

your motives clear as dense fog

chilling the air of the moor

your dance of deception

left a path strewn with mighty men

reduced to weakness

disenchantment and sniveling

love's parlance an unknown to you

who dwells in the darkness

of selfish glee

SEEING ONE FOR WHO THEY REALLY ARE IS NOT EASY, ESPECIALLY WHEN ONE'S EMOTIONS ARE INVOLVED. GLAD YOU SURVIVED....AND MOVED ON. THANKS FOR SHARING. LOVE, BLESSINGS & FAITH...

your words so emotionally expressed
comprehending every line...then wondering who...
the darkest of hearts to play a game of love
and love so gloriously gived to the deceptor who
is no doubt the bigger fool...
a deeply gripping poetic expression Jon

For those "who unwisely settled into the beguile of you" the frustration and pain are all too real and the lesson often learned late, very sad. You've expressed poignantly the inability to love that selfishness and "selfish glee" (even worse) cause. A fine piece of work.

Your melody lingers in the background you painted here “She has loved not” and sadly lost to the lesser things that fill the vault of dreams...Great write Jon

Some will just never "learn" about love in this life, Jon. Sad but true... ...not an uncommon theme in this world. Thank you. Love and peace,

I dated her, too. Now that I think of it, she was probably a closet lesbian but I was too niave with lust to tell.
