Before the embrace
she experienced the child like innocence
of fascination
hushed in the measured mouth
of tepid breath's anticipation
a childish exuberance
emotion, physical sensuality on alert
as all blended into a formidable elixir
embraces amply fanning
passion's flame into full blaze
her feet danced in the pit of aggressive lust
air displaced by scentless pheromones
now in forced march to the id
ushered in upon the rush of raw desire
to stand down at once her choice
or experience guilt ridden connubial bliss
in the race to primordial capitulation
moist, quivering lips and steamy breaths
urging to completion
sensibility on siesta
swiftly rationalization strikes from the ego
like a bolt of lightning
reason rushes in to take command
virginity is spared the breach of foolish whims
to be lost only when the moment
meets discretion's criteria
standing toe to toe with morality
and the one and only partner for love's waltz

but by a flush not easily resisted. In the case of your
young woman, we assume that reason and her morality won
out...this time. You write of it with such skill, Jon,
as always. -gene.
Underlying this is the question of corruption, is innocence compromised by 'the embrace' and if it is is it necessarily to a disadvantage? I like the way you leave the argument open because I'm not convinced reason taking command is always the better way. I enjoyed the complexity of thought and expression here, this is fine and deep.
