Age, I'll Wear What I Have

Time, my friend, my enemy. Only time lasts.

The glances of foxy ladies

my way, once were many

intrigued with me they were

now, now there are not any

for a crop harvested long ago

shall never never more grow

time is now, time is past

time, may this day endure

it wears well on me

with an ambiance

I've grown desirous of

a perfect fitting glove

all that I now seek

has the smell of age

only that which is well worn

fits the frame of me, the mood of me

now, in the time

when foxy ladies

shun the sight of me

Jon:

I ditto Carole's comment about those foxy ladies. Age is just a number, and I can only count to 29. Heeeheee!!!

Oh, on the more serious side, there are 4 seasons to a life, and each season of our life is being rewarded for what we have worked for and deserved, so don't feel bad about aging. There's always a season for it, but we all feel young at hearts anyway.

Love and Hugs,

Sandie Angel :o)

A feeling of melancholy within this poignant piece Jon Michael...just remember, those original foxy ladies that checked you out, have been aging right along with you...(smiles)

Do not worry so as they say there is someone for each of us!
The words in your writings are HOT! Even as we age, the ones whom truly love us only see our beauty...not the grey and wrinkled persons we become! They see our hearts and minds and caring

Awwwww, you sound so down in this piece, like your soul is being ripped from you and your world has been turned up side down. Yet in your heart you are still the same fine person, have faith....

Be always safe,
Karen

Either a sage tome of passage or the mournful loss still on the mind of time. ;-)

I plan to get a few of those years back when stem cells hit the market.

Shame on the foxy ladies. You, my friend, a man of many words,
have much to say to the young and to the old. And to the foxy ones.
Write on, Jon. -gene.
