To try to keep my mind and hand warm in the creative arena of poetry.

On The Wind

a breeze blows fresh, delicately laced

scented sweet with lily of the valley

portaging the dust of wisdom, hope

o’er the river of consensual ignorance

anticipatory faithful gather on one bank

on the opposite bank stand collected

those with ears deaf to the sounds of sharing

evidentiary signs have preceded this day

the sky smiles in azure, sol has blessed

the light of intellectual sharing is bright

a mood of excitation stirs impatiently

bristles among the cedar and pear trees

from the shadows sagely whispers carry

the night will belong to the ways of joy

the needle threading the weave of caring

shuttles with intensity, precisely, freely

let the lemon fruit of human disregard fall

onto grounds that know not fertility’s blessings

mighty sea of wills river of mankind’s journey

ebb , flow harmoniously ‘til all are collected

upon the ship that boards no evil, no ignorance

on the wind passage awaits those confident

willing to throw open wide the sash windows

that will loose the bright light of possibilities

EVEN WITH THE WIND...IT TAKES SOME A WHILE TO 'ALLOW' THE WIND TO CARRY THEM TO GREAT HEIGHTS. VERY WELL DONE AND ENJOYED. THANKS FOR SHARING, LOVE AND BLESSINGS, JOYCE * HIS INSPIRATIONS

From its positive, assured and uplifting opening 'a breeze blows fresh' this is a clarion call for change of mindset and attitude, the accepted (unfortunately) 'human disregard' has to fall and rot before we have any chance of universal redemption, and this noble wind blows through my mind and heart and enriches me, Jon.

Your fruit forest can be compared to an emotional forest full of scents of tenderness and sadness, of smiles and tears drops of loving dew and, inside the fog around there is the sun, warm, like the hand of the poet.

Back in the swing of things with this majestic poem but we have a long way to go for a Utopian concept to happen but if we just practiced what Christ asked us to love each other as I have loved you, we could find it.

Jon, I love your last verse the very best...It is a wonderful write. Most importantly it is great to see you dip your pen in this little pond called the Den.

Fanning the wind of sensual delights like a spring breeze, ah, and then, on the edges of the flowing waters, judgement.
Your feather, is bedding the pollen well Jon. Blessings! Jasmin Horst
