any port
thunder paces silver streaks
across the waning golden sun
a black horizon strains and arches
from the roaring timpanist’s leads
Thor is refusing to leave unheard
as he orchestrates roaring encores
only the north wind is bold enough
to challenge and usurp his sway
black onyx races and engulfs
the sun retreating into the west
from the heavens there will be
no ensuing hush or calm
a chance encounter of opposing wills
has roiled the whole of nature’s grandeur
calm and order are strangers
to the will of vituperations
clouds of fury step a brazen dance
ceremonial rage larger than life
at the edge of sanity
the peasants of order flee
no sanctuary desires them
nor harbors their mundane manners

Calm and order live under the same bedroom sheets, what honors the day finds the night uncomfortably cold so they find comfort there..agreeing to the rules that they must be....as always Jon you challenge me.
The poem is loud, and roars of Godly wonders.
Nowt mundane in life, for those who happen to be awake.
I oftentimes think of Rumi when reading your work.
One can sense the subtext, even when a couple of hours have passed after midnight.

Such energy...the carnal self, all agonies, joys, everything comes alive here!
