Another Day

 Today is just another day

The sun surley rose in the East

And yet thare's only been,

A handful of years,

Mother Earth 

Has lived in Peace.

Based on the poem's premise of the dismal state of peace on earth, I believe the word describing the sun as "surly" may be accurate. Maybe not. ;-)
