Did I Just Dream?

Sometimes you work so hard and so long that you're not sure what's real and unreal anymore. This was one of those times.

Did I Just Dream?

You get up in the middle of the night,

To go to work while there is no light.

You shower or bathe in a frantic state,

So you can make sure you won’t be late.

You try so hard to do the best job you can,

So you push to get done and you really cram.

Rushing here and there gets to be a routine,

Sometimes, you think its’ a nightmare or a silly dream.

But you get done with everything in sight,

Then it’s time to go home and rest for the night.

You just fall asleep when the alarm goes beep,

And you jump to the floor in your tired feet.

“This can’t be right; I just went to bed,

My body’s tired and my feet feel like lead.

Did I just dream that I slept all night?

Or did I dream that I worked, which is right?”

Bonnie,

I liked this poem, and think it fits me to read and is a great poem. The other ones you wrote are nice too, and I will never get through all of them. Only have 1 more hour here at library.
