“Exactly What I Needed”

God never gives you more than he knows you can truly take.
Sometimes you think he has, but God makes no mistakes.
He sometimes sends an angel to help you with the tasks.
Giving them words of wisdom he knows throughout will last.

This year I felt he sent me, much more than I could bear,
For sure he had forsaken me, not hearing my nightly prayer.
Feeling so low and desperate, and being much afraid,
All my fears and heartache at God’s feet I had laid.

That’s when God sent the angel to lift my spirits high,
She was the best of all of them, but had no wings to fly.
He must have loved me very much to part with such a gift.
Because within a twinkling of an eye, I felt my spirits lift.

I thank you God for sending her, she means so much to me.
She was exactly what I needed, to make my fears all flee.
I know just why he picked her; she is so unique and rare.
And she is exactly what I prayed for, in that nightly prayer.
