Saying Goodbye to Coors
Very shortly many of us will be leaving
To pursue different jobs, dreams and goals.
Saying goodbye to a company you love
Is hard and will surely take its toll.
If it wasn't for Coors giving me a chance
To prove what I could do.
I wouldn't be the person I am now,
With my confidence truly renewed.
For those of you that are upset with Coors,
Take time to analyze why.
They could have issued your last paycheck
And simply said goodbye.
Unlike other companies Coors offered a venture,
To either stay or go.
With it a great opportunity to leave,
And a chance to start over and grow.
When I came to Coors not so long ago,
My life was upside down.
In being here just a short time
Has turned my life around.
Deciding to leave and follow my dreams
Was a difficult decision to make.
But once again Coors gave me a hand,
And that hand I will sadly take.
I was proud to say I worked for Coors,
For it's the best company around.
Saying Goodbye is almost impossible,
For here I feel safe and sound.
But I will take this great opportunity
And pursue it with vigor and zest.
Once again grateful for Coors generosity,
Making me feel certainly blessed!
I am known to some as the Coors poet,
And I was delighted to be.
As I continue writing and pursuing my dreams,
With a little luck, Coors hasn't heard the last of me!
