I wish for one second that someone that is going to take someone else's life would feel the pain the family feels when they are left without their loved one. We miss you Gary!

One Bullet…So Many Holes

It only took one bullet to take him away,

The pain was quick I hope and pray.

But all the holes left in everyone’s lives,

Are much too many, does God hear our cries?

There’s a hole in my family that nothing can fill,

Sometimes we wonder what else murder steals.

We know what it’s taken from us that is true ,

But the pain in our lives always stays anew.

I am now at the age when my loved ones are gone,

No one that remembers the days I was young.

We could have good times remembering the past,

If he were still here those memories would last.

His children went on to live their lives,

But the hole in them are as big as the skies.

We thought by this time things would return,

To be like before but their hearts still burn.

There are so many holes that his death left behind,

No solace or peace can anyone find.

Just holes in hearts are left in its stay,

And us asking for closure every time we pray.

What can one say after reading this sad story? My heart goes out to you, Bonnie, and to Gary's family. I can't imagine the pain that accompanies such an experience.
I can only assure you that God loves you and shares your pain. And He is "a stronghold in the day of trouble."
He will carry your burden as you continue to cast it on Him.

With sympathy and love,
Connie

Omega Factor by John Henning

Take some time to walk outside of your own mind and into another, walk slowly and carefully; the mind that you step on might be your own.
