God Sends Them When You Need Them!

The day I lost my mother was the day I thought love died.
No matter what mistakes I made, she was always by my side.
She offered words of wisdom and lifted my spirits high.
The hardest day I’ve had in life was the day I said good-bye.

I never expected to feel again, the love lost that dreadful day.
But that’s when God revealed to me about a gift he sent my way.
He told me how much I’d need it, in the years that lay ahead.
And In this gift I’d find a lifeline, much like my daily bread.

How wonderful it is to know that God sends you gifts you need.
It may take time to understand just what the gift may be...
And it may take awhile to understand what your gift is all about.
But when you need it, he will reveal it, and there will be no doubt.

I have no doubt what my gift is, he showed me oh so clear.
It’s a gift I couldn’t have hoped for, that day, through all my tears.
It was right there all along, the day I thought love died.
I would have seen it long before, had not my spirits cried.

I’m so glad that God’s wisdom is greater than mere mans.
In giving me more than I prayed for, for it was in his plans.
I will cherish my gift from God, and be grateful everyday.
And thank you God for loving me, the day you sent me Kay.
