When Coors was having massive lay-offs from the very high levels to the low ones, I was asked to write a good-bye poem to a very wonderful Executive Vice President. This is what I wrote.

TRAVELING NEW HORIZONS

Our Executive Vice President is retiring,

Soon he will not be here.

Sadly missed by those who knew him,

But remembered with every Coors beer.

When he came aboard, Coors was smaller,

Now we are nationally known.

This was due to his abundance of passion,

Like the wind, which has suddenly blown.

Bob's always been fair and honest,

His drive and commitment stand tall.

He will not be forgotten,

He left his mark on us all.

Prosit to you Bob, in traveling new horizons,

We wish you the best that life has.

May it contain peace and fulfillment,

Sped up with a little pizzazz.

There are many that say you're real serious,

Just as many, who say you tell jokes.

But whichever is right, it's not bad,

For a man who began working in soaps.

Whether it's golf, fishing, traveling,

Or enjoying family life in some fashion.

Keep one thing in mind when you're doing this,

And grasp life with your infamous passion!
