My Cranky Little Heart
So many things unsaid, and felt within this heart of mine.
It wants to tell it all someday, but getting short on time.
You see my heart is damaged, it’s not feeling very well,
It’s so sad right now because it still has so much to tell.
It’s trying to remember everything that’s deep inside,
Before the life’s taken from it for it’s been one great ride.
Many people touched it and made it feel so fine.
Many are inside it and filling it with love divine.
But now it’s old and cranky and doesn’t work quite right,
Its ups and downs are evident from early dawn into night.
But it keeps trying very hard to get all the love expressed.
So it can finish and be at peace and get the proper rest.
It’s not afraid of death I’m sure because I know it well.
And if there are unsaid memories, it will find a way to tell.
So be patient my little cranky heart I will always be right here.
Just keep on exploring memories, forget the doubts and fear.
When it is done I’ll go with you ‘cause you were the very best.
Now both of us can go in peace and have a proper rest.

This is an eye-catching title--you're so good at that--and a memorable poem. I just read the one Kathy Adams wrote about making lemonade. Sounds like you and she are cut from the same cloth, and both inspire the reader to press on and do the work we are called to do.
Please take good care of your cranky heart, because we'd like to have you around for a long time to come!
Love,
Connie
(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Tx., Karen Lynn. :)
Hope your cranky little heart feels better soon. :)
