God Gave Me a Mountain!

God gave me a mountain this time to climb.

He stayed right with me, with his hand in mine.

He planted many things in my heart to get done.

Some were very hard but most were such fun.

God gave me a mountain full of love,

He gave me a family sent from above.

He sent special friends on the wings of a dove.

Oh yes, he Gave me a Mountain of Love.

The crosses we all have to carry and bear,

Weren’t overbearing and I never had fear.

I knew he was with me on my journeys through life.

So the joys & thrills overpowered the strife.

At the times life seemed so unbearably harsh.

God carried me in his arms through the thorns and the marsh.

Wonderful blessings he bestowed along the way.

Made my life easier & brighter each day.

Now that my tasks are done & complete.

I can go home to sit at God’s feet.

He selected the best for me that he had.

So don’t mourn for me don’t even feel sad.

When I look at my children & who they are.

I know where they came from; I don’t have to look far.

The same with the friends & family he gave.

I will take their love beyond this earthly grave.

So thank you my Lord for all you’ve done.

For giving me joy, the laughs & the fun.

Thank you for the family & friends, most of all,

Give them strength and courage, so they don’t slip & fall.

Thank you my God for the Mountains of Love,

I will soon join you in the heavens above.
