There's Nothing We Can Do!

A few weeks ago I was very ill. I'm wonderful now, so please don't worry. But these are some things that crossed my mind and I thought I'd share them with you.

There’s Nothing We Can Do!

Hearing, “there’s nothing we can do,” sure makes you think.
Just a few minutes ago, you were in the pink.
Now you have a challenge like nothing you had before.
You have to come terms with it, as you walk out the door.

Do I pray and ask for another miracle from above?
When he’s given me so many and showed me so much love.
Or do I just accept it, for maybe he’s calling me?
Maybe it’s my time to go and he’s just setting me free.

I’m not afraid of dying for he has overflowed my cup.
I’m sad to leave my loved ones and I don’t like giving up.
But do I fight and argue, when my Lord is calling me home?
Or do I accept his decision, entirely on my own?

But what if this is a lesson that HE wants me to learn?
A lesson I’ve not learned before? Maybe, it’s NOT my turn.
I’ll wait for HIM to let me know, what HE wants to do with me.
It’s at his time, not mine, when HE decides to set me free.

...with acceptance...you walk a tightrope of here...and there...and find balance...upon lines...of one in the highest.
your words hold much strength in realization Bonnie...

Beautiful sentiments in this poem, Bonnie. There is always more God wants us to accomplish here on Earth, we just have to accept the yolk. And get the rest we need ;o) Always remember, the Docs aren't the final word...prayers and God have those. Prayers for you, friend.

When my brother was fighting cancer at 28 years old, I saw this motto hung in his and his wife's bedroom: "God gives His very best to those who leave the choice to Him." I believe it, and also believe when it's time to die, if you belong to Him, He will give you dying grace. You don't need it until then.
You have a great attitude, Bonnie, and I know you want God's will. Your trust in Him is so evident in all you write.

Love,
Connie

Yes Bonnie, we are all in God's hands and he ultimately decides when each of us must return home. You breathe such resolute beauty through your words....

Be always safe,
Karen

So great an inspirational poem and so nice of you to pass it on to others. You are amazing as I said before and your time is not yet to leave us and retire from you workings for others and your family. We love you and think of you often. Take care Love, Lois

Bonnie this is a reflection of a surrendered soul and a wise woman. A beautiful and thought provoking pen.

I, much late at nights, play mental chess with God, he don't cheat but have a tricky ways to play, but after losing a few games He asked me for best of five, and I told Him that only with one condition, "make Bonnie well" he did and I lost the best of five games. He certainly play in mysterious ways...

Bonnie,

Prayer works wonders - when man gives up, that's when God steps in. :) Keep praying, keep believing, keep hoping!

(((HUGS))) love and prayer, Karla.

Glad you're in the pink now - God is good! :)

Bonnie,

Always utter the prayer - life is to trial for more of in all manner of existence. Loss of life is challenging and this writ serves well the realization that we can evaporate in a moment's notice.

Thank you, ~D.
