That old saying, "Don't put off today what you could do tomorrow", is with me always.

It Could Be the Last Time!

One thing I’ve learned and I learned this lesson well.
I never put off today, something I should do, try or tell.
Not telling someone you loved them, may not seem dire to you.
But what if they were gone tomorrow and didn’t have a clue.

I found that if a thought pops up, I must act on it right away.
If I don’t, it may ruin my tomorrow and many other days.
I let my friends and family know, how much they mean to me.
And if I die tomorrow, contented they will be.

So don’t put off another day of telling someone you care.
For it may be the last time, you will see them standing there.

This is the best way to live your life so you will never have regrets. I love how you worded this too, when you read it, it is very smooth. I like it Ma'ma

Wise words...
A few weeks ago I kept thinking of a friend and felt the urge to call her, but I didn't. Two days later I learned her son had died three days earlier of SIDS. The remorse that I didn't act upon my thought has been huge...

The only regret I would have if I am gone tomorrow is all that couldn't be done with such little time left to do it...

You Look FatCalgary by RickthePoetWarrior

Using Calgary as a backdrop the author satirizes the self-serving nature of the public as it continues to fatten itself, not only physically, but egotistically as well.
