Bonnie, this is full of truth and honesty...many love from the looks on the outside and not what's in the soul of the person. This is great!

Well...(I know...it's a deep subject) I must admit that I often measure myself against those standards and find myself quite lacking...which makes me wonder why my husband loves me so much, but then I realize he is one in a million and he must see something that I don't see on the outside. And...in the end I am grateful for that!

A poem right on target for today's societal trends. Humanity and respect have little to do with choosing companions. --A sad state of things, I must say. -- I can't help but think of that movie, "Shallow Hal"... wouldn't it be wonderful if our character was seen as a physical attribute? But better yet... and on second thought... isn't it better this way... that those that get the real gems are those who dig for it?

Ma'ma I love this!!! This is very true that people tend to "fall in love" with things like looks and money when in reality our looks and what we have in out wallet is not who we are but it is the love in our heart.

I like this one. Of course I would love the person if they were not beautiful. I look for what's inside the person's heart and all and then judge to love them or not, but I do make lots of friends and like this poem very good. Another good shot for you.

Bonnie,
BRAVO!!! Excellent poem and a must read for all men AND women. I've shouted this all my life, ITS THE HEART, not a bank account, or a gorgeous face, or a mansion, BUT WHATS IN THE HEART that really counts. When you marry for other reasons it don't last.
