You Can’t Throw it Away!
You gave this man everything, more than you had to give.
Keeping nothing in reserve for you to flourish and to live.
You never gave yourself a thought when this man needed you.
Your love for him is evident in all you say and do.
You should have kept a little something back for a rainy day.
Something that would sustain you and would erase all the gray.
But you never thought he’d leave you and find someone new.
You trusted and believed in him, he will always be true blue.
You helped heal this man with all the love that you bestowed on him.
You gave him every part of you when you fully let him in.
With nothing in reserve, things may look awfully bleak.
But you have something rare, you’ll find it if you seek.
There is always one thing; God will not let us throw away.
It belongs to only him; he protects it when we pray.
It is that beautiful shinning spirit that’s deep inside of you.
You’ll find it when you pray; it will always get you through.
