It becomes like an obsession, the need to get it all out.

I Write Because

It seems I have this need to tell all,
Which comes from deep inside.
Is it because my life story is worth telling
Or is it because of pride?
I have so much bottled up in me,
That sometimes I feel that I will burst.
I thought if I just told a little,
It would satisfy my thirst.

So I started writing my stories,
The stories of my heart.
Each one of them was different,
Each one miles apart.
There were some sad ones,
Some tragic ones too.
But there are so many funny ones,
More than just a few.

My life has been full and satisfying,
And on the whole pretty great.
Sure I was hit with disasters,
But on the whole it was first rate.
In fact, I wish for everyone
The joys that filled my soul.
Then you would know and understand
What it feels like to be whole.

If you doubt these stories,
Know that they are true .
I know it seems impossible,
But I guarantee it to you.
I want my children to remember
The years when they were small.
I want them to love and understand
their Mother most of all.

So I’ll write ‘til my day is done,
All the memories of the past.
In hopes that they will be read one day,
And they know my love will last.
And for the grandchilden I will never see,
Reading my stories they will know me.

and for grandchildren, too. I think that's why most of us write, especially our stories or articles, to record heritage for those families down the line. And your doing wonders for them with your words, Bonnie!!
