You May Not Understand it Now
A father’s love is so precious, powerful and true ,
He’s not afraid to make decisions that may be hard on you.
For he knows how important it is for a child to learn integrity
So they can grow in strength and be the best they can be.
A father’s tough when he needs to be;
Sometimes it seems he won’t bend.
He just wants them to make the right choices,
So they have values and integrity in the end.
But when a father loves, he loves totally with an undying pride.
When they fall, he’ll pick them up and stand by their side.
He is there to guide them and to give them a shoulder they may need.
He does it without asking, it’s in his heart, and in his father’s creed.
So if you think you’re fathers tough, be glad that it is so.
For he taught you well and you learned what you need to know.
You may not understand now all the different seeds he has sown.
But you will someday, the day you are fully grown.
