This is so true and so me. I never learn but I do have an exciting life.

Why Don’t I Ever Learn?

Making the same old mistakes, why don’t I ever learn?
Why do I jump into things, don’t I always get burned?
If I’d just stop to think awhile, instead of following through.
But no, I get so excited about new ideas and new things to do.

I tend to have faith in everyone and not question things I hear.
I tend to trust and believe in people, without doubt and fear.
Why do I always fall for things when everyone else seems to discern?
Why is it me that falls for things, why don’t I ever learn?

I hear about a good arrangement and it sounds so great to me.
So I jump in with both feet, and drown in the deepest sea.
If only I thought a little bit before I actually jumped.
I might come out of it unscathed or without a single bump.

But if I did think awhile, would that be true to who I was,
Would it make me happy, just like jumping surely does?
No, I don’t think it would, if somebody else I tried to be.
For it would not be honest and it would not be me.

Bonnie,
Excellent write! I like Suzie's comment, and in falling we find our wings every time! Don't be afraid to take risk, Bonnie. As you said it wouldn't be you if you didn't. Enjoyed this very much!

Blessings,
~Linda

Well, no risk, no gain. You've got to risk some, and hopefully gain some. And yes, when people tell me good stuff, my first instinct was to trust them. I always look at the good side of the person first. It's just me...I'm very trusting...probably to a fault.

You sound to be an optimist & I my dear am the exact opposite and my life is never really fun and come out of problems usually unscathed, but then again I never really try...KEEP TRYING, its who you are...ed
