We Have Much to Do!
This is a very violent world we live in and are trying times.
We don’t have to look very hard to see all the many signs.
So as the election draws near, I’m not sure what to do.
Not sure whose right for this country, one old or one new.
They both sound competent, they both sound very bright.
But which one will guide us and lead us from this fright.
It’s more important than ever that we pick the right man.
Not only for this country but throughout this entire land.
The responsibilities that our country leader has are numerous,
Our problems abroad, among all the problems in the U.S.
How do we know which man we must choose?
When all of us have so much to gain and to loose.
As the day of election gets extremely near, we must do our part.
We must listen to both men and listen with an opened heart.
We must not only think of the things he could do for me.
But we must think of the world and what the world could be.
Who best represents our country, our values and all our beliefs?
Who would be the best to lead our soldiers as their commander and chief?
Who best characterizes what this country stands for,
And who best to bring peace, prosperity and more?
We have much to do before Election Day gets here.
We must do it with knowledge and not out of fear.
We must pray each day that we make the right decision.
And hope God hears and answers us with HIS precision.
I for one am going to start today by praying to my Lord.
And really listen to these men so I can climb aboard.
With God’s help, I’ll choose the right and only man,
To rule with knowledge and courage throughout this troubled land.
I pray that God hears us!
