If I Had a Penny!
If I had a penny for every single thing in my life that went wrong.
I would be counting my money, throughout my whole life long.
The erroneous things that happened are the things that made me, me.
For that very reason I’m thankful and I’ll always be grateful to thee.
For all the things that go astray, so many more went right.
I found it so much easier counting my blessings at night.
Instead of remembering the bad, I try to remember the good.
Even the times I did wrong, and didn’t do the things that I should.
My God has such a forgiving heart and he always lets me know.
That he is right there with me no matter which way I’d go.
He let me learn my lessons and grow from what I learned.
He was always there to pick me up when I took the wrong turn.
He is such a loving father who gives more than he gets.
You can always go to him on the throne where he sets.
He never will deny you, for he loves you unconditionally.
He will always be there, like he always was for me.
So don’t look back on the bad things, keep looking straight ahead.
For all the precious treasures he gives you, try that instead.
I promise you you’ll be more contented with a more productive life.
Learning the lessons from the wrongs, and striving for the rights.

On a different note, each time I find a penny I am reminded "In God we trust" and it helps me deal with whatever has come my way. Interestingly, I find pennies when I need that tangible reminder of His love and goodness.
