Thank you Georg, for without your encouragement, this would not have been written. Love ya...

Marty’s Message

Feeling despondent and completely drained.
Were the feelings I experienced, after releasing the pain.
Thinking I’d be fine if I wrote my feelings down.
Like it’s always done for me when in despair I drown.

But this time the pain was deeper than I ever knew.
For the anguish over-whelmed me and sank me deeper too.
Until a special man cared enough to send me encouragement.
To keep going on and write until my day was spent.

Don’t silence your words with pain, that will never do.
For the little boy who lost his life, still depends on you.
He needs you to get his message out, spread it all around.
Then his death will have some meaning, while he lies there in the ground.

So the message I’m sending is a special message from him.
For he can no longer voice his words, which in it self’s a sin.
Before you get in that car with alcohol flowing through your veins.
Remember little Marty eating his ice cream, then think again.

For he was an innocent child who didn’t deserve to die.
We’ll never know his potential or how high he would fly.
His life snuffed out in an instant, a mother lost her son.
She will feel the loss of Marty, until her life is done.

So when you take that next drink remember what Marty’s Mom lost,
By someone drinking and driving and what that drink had cost.

Bonnie May

Bonnie, you do have the nack of appearing in the right place at the wrong time from some of the writes of your past I've read. I can only say I hoped you reached some of those alcoholics who think they can drive a vehicle without harming anyone, children or families and make the stay off the road oor get a designated driver. Your message needs to be heeded by the right people too. Praying it will. Praying hard in fact, They are banning smoking, why don't they ban alcoholics, that is the question I have now?

You have penned one powerhouse of a write, and I pray it makes a difference in those who decide to drive after they drink. Maybe then they will get the message what driving drunk can do; we can only pray, hope! Heartbreaking write, keep on speaking out on little Marty's behalf! Very well penned!

(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Tx., Karen Lynn. :( >tears! <
