What That Little Car Didn’t Know!

Sometimes we think because we're not perfect, getting older, more feeble, dimwhitted, lots of scars and a heart not working right that there's nothing about us to love anymore. Oh my friends, there is and always will be. Your heart and who you are!

What That Little Car Didn’t Know!

A young girl had a little car named Jasmine that she loved with all her heart.
The young girl kept her polished and made sure that Jasmine would start.
Jasmine was truly loved and went for service every time it came due.
Jasmine looked so bright and beautiful, she almost looked brand new.

The two were meant to be together from the very start.
One smiling, one purring, it really touched your heart.
They made many memories in their travels to and fro.
And everyday they were together, made their friendship grow.

The lovely young girl treated Jasmine very tenderly and kind.
So when she loaned Jasmine to a friend, she must have lost her mind.
For her friend didn’t feel a thing for Jasmine, it was only a car she drove.
She drove recklessly and crashed her, and the little car was towed.

Jasmine was taken to the junkyard where she would have to stay.
No more polishing, no more driving, with her friend each day.
That little car would sit there between all those badly damaged cars.
And no one will ever love them again for they had too many scars.

But what that little car didn’t know was someone loved her still.
That young girl loves and misses her and she always will.

I remember my first car... Cryssa Car was her name... I still miss her and wish that my children had something as sturdy and dependable as she was for their transportation.

What a sweet write, Bonnie. I'll never forget my first car. A 1966 Rambler Rogue two door hardtop (vinyl) and the seats went all the way down... ...Great memories. Thank you. Love and best wishes to you,

Regis

How we always seem to remember and love inanimate objects, and yes even though we are older and not as shiny, we can still be loved as well too...ed

Sweet and tender write, Bonnie; very well penned! My first car was the Vega Karla wrote about before, then after that, a 1980 Pontiac Sunbird. How I loved that car, especially when I got my tape player put in! Then I had a 1997 Grand Am, another favorite. My last car was a Mercury Topaz; that was okay, but I really liked my Grand Am and my Sunbird! :)

(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Tx., Karen Lynn. :D

Awww, how tenderly sweet! We all recall our first car (love): mine was a 1975 Vega. Rusted out body, but drove like a dream. Until the driver door fell off. WHILE I was driving. Well done, Bonnie!

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.
