Lela Disappears
Lela was a stunning young teenage girl with lovely inner glow.
But something terrible happened to Lela just one year ago.
She was raped by her teenage friend, who she had given much trust.
But something dark controlled him for he was filled with anger and lust.
Lela couldn’t tell anyone ‘cause she felt so much of the blame.
Her life changed forever that day and nothing was ever the same.
She withdrew more and more within herself not letting anyone in.
She died a little more each day from this violent, horrendous sin.
Her loving parents were concerned when their daughter began to disappear.
They tried understanding and counseling but solutions still weren’t clear.
Lela hardly left her room now, totally engrossed in her own pain.
No one could seem to help her for she felt so badly defamed.
The same friend that hurt and defamed her, showed up at her front door.
He asked her parents if he could see her, they were friends since they were four.
Her parents blind to what this young man had done to their precious child.
Gladly welcomed him in & looked with horror, when Lela got so violently riled.
For the first time, her parents realized this young man held the key.
They knew he had the answers to Lela’s secret and he could set her free.
The young man knelt in front of Lela and crumbled at her knee.
He seemed every bit as wounded & destroyed as she grew to be.
When his words spilled out and he describe the terrible things he’d done,
Her parents were horrified, irate but they were completely stunned.
Lela’s father had two choices; shoot him right then and there.
Or call the authorities to handle this for its all that he could bare.
He decided slowly, he chose the second of the two and called 911.
He went to his daughter to console her and forgot about his gun.
