I Am So Glad!
I’ve opened my life and my heart to all of you.
Story poems that are funny, some tragic, most of them true .
You’ve become an extension of my family and I’ve let you all in.
Lovingly sharing my childhood, life, hurts and of course my sin.
For many years I wrote and wrote only for me.
It helped with the pain and helped set me free.
But somehow I felt safe here and began to share.
That’s when I started seeing how much people care.
I’ve thought others wouldn’t be interested in what I’d say.
But you proved me wrong on that very first day.
Your reviews and your caring always came through.
And I’m so glad that I began sharing with you.
So whether you really want me or not, I plan to stay.
And when my Lord calls me home, I’ll tell him, “My Lord
please wait, for I have just one more thing to say.”
