If They’d Only Go Away!

Sometimes we wish we wouldn't get so emotional when we try to help someone through a difficult time. We're human and I guess this is part of being real.

If They’d Only Go Away!

I don’t want to shed tears anymore, it makes me feel too sad.
I want to be happy and cheerful, I want to be joyful and glad.
But when I read a heart touching poem, the tears fall from my eyes.
It’s like a violent storm erupting and opening a hole in the skies.

Or if I listen to a friend in pain, the tears start flowing again.
It hurts my heart so much that I wonder if it will ever mend.
If I could stop these wretched tears that flow at the drop of a hat.
I might be able to assist someone else or at least give it a crack.

But no, the tears keep flowing until my emotions flow through.
Then there’s nothing I can say at all and nothing I can do.
It’s like they control everything, my heart, my body and soul.
Totally draining me of my strength, and leaving a painful hole.

If I could get through just one day without these blasted tears.
I could reach out and touch someone, people I haven’t seen in years.
So dry up you pesky tears and go away, just let me heal and mend,
“Cause I can definitely exist without you, O’ here you come again.

Tears are heaven's emotions showing through...
Showing us your sweet empathy and letting us know you care.
Love ya, Bonnie...tears and all!

It is often hard to be soft...lol soft hearted that is, but as my dear mother once told me shortly before she died...it is nothing to be ashamed of, instead embrace it for it shows you care.

If the eyes are the soul windows, then tears are needed to wash them from time to time so we can see the sol pristine, as it should be.

I think tears are part of life, and when they come, it's best to let 'em go.

Oh Bonnie, I cry in my heart and soul but none shed for others to see. Learned a long time ago to be a "brave soldier" and bury my emotions when others are in need. Behind the smiles, the twinkles, chuckles, giggles and laughter are tears well hidden. A loving, compassionate soul are you, it shows through your words....

Be always safe,
Karen

How often have we cried for others? How often have we felt their pain and sorrow? How often have we cried for ourselves? How often, How often, How often.... that is because you and I and many others, have open and caring hearts...yours is very big and it's been through alot...so as your tears fall, plz know that your friends and loved ones do not share to make you cry...it's just that you are so compassionate, such an easy listener, and you always know the right words to ease the pain...ours...while we leave you with an ache...and a tear... I wonder... is it not fair to share and ease our tears, while the friend is filled with ours and theirs too? That is why we are friends... and you are such a wonderful one... to many. lindalaw

Bonnie:

It is because you are a friend with lending ears; and you are empathetic and sympathetic. I used to be like you too, but I can't say I'm still the same though, and yes, it hurts every time when I hear my friends being hurt, I went to sleep crying the tears for them.

I guess we are just empathetic people and we feel for others.

Don't change a bit, for this is all good quality in a friend!!!

Loveya,

Sandie Angel :o)

Wow Bonnie, I have felt this way many times, praying to the Lord to help the one who is hurt and in pain, to give the strength, and yet feeling weak myself, I believe part of the reason the Lord blesses us with friends, is to help bare the weight of those hard moments
