Deep thinking Bonnie. As I get older I want less, but when I want something I get it. Like the CD's of the Jonas Brother's I had to have. Karen says Mother, you are not buying those are you? I did and am happier now at nights listening to them. Oh well, said Karen, Mother will he herself.

This is a brilliant poem, Bonnie, and you should make sure that Marcia gets a copy (she is also taking Valentine's Day poems). You know, the unhappiest people I have ever met were the folks I knew in Pebble Beach, California. Very wealthy people. They had all of the possessions in the world. But, like you said in the poem, those people were enslaved to their wealth and their possessions, and this made them grim and grumpy. It is better not to live like that. Super poem :-)
