Well, it's a gamble, isn't it? Whether we are successful in the worldly way of things with our art is part talent and part risk.
The Talent Pool
Wander on down to the hottest show in town
Bring your joys and woes and dreams and gamble, lay ‘em down.
Put it on the line and choose your number if you dare.
You’re time to shine may well be here if you care to share.
Imagine, if you will, that your essence is the bet.
The currency of life on earth; if you don’t give you don’t get.
Your very feelings, your attitude and even your own will
Are about to become your fear of fears and your sweetest thrill.
Strip away all notions of privacy for now.
The world wants to see you, feel you, and watch you take the bow.
Your stage is set, your audience is actually hopeful for you.
But still you sweat. You’re dead if they don’t like you.
Lay it all out for the world to see or silence.
It is the only solvent route to take for your particular nuance.
Write it, sing it, play it, say it, slam it down. Winner takes it all.
Ride the very risk you take while you create and rise and fall.
Welcome!
The poems in this beautifully bound book are a result of over twenty years of observations. Observations of the world around us and on the telecommunications network. All of the hate, love, heroism, disasters, and those who help.
