Sweetness of Ma

Lovebug

Ladybug

Inchworm

Ivy twining

Stars shining

Sometimes twinkling

Little ditties and

Pet names

As ma would

Stroke my hair

Or as she did the

Dishes she would sing

Rock of Ages

Cleft for me

I always wondered

What that meant

When I was small

But I never wanted

To interrupt the

Sweetness

To ask, and forgot to later on.

When she Came to the

Valley Alone, I thought

Surely she could see me

There too

But over and over

She sang the same way

And never, not once

Did she say, look, its you!

Christopher Robin said

More prayers than a monk

And Winnie the Pooh

Was a star.

Amazing Grace was a pillar

Of strength

And I did go with her on

Her adventures in song

And long past her time

I bring them along

To fill my days

And ease my mind

And remember the

Sweetness of Ma.
