Escape

Dragon of fire

Rage for me

Kill my desire

And set me free

Open a breach

Where I can escape

Then help me reach

The life I can shape

Into my own dreams

And eager to know

Subject to no schemes

But my ebb and flow

Fairies surround me

And carry me off

Let fantasy drown me

My sins I do scoff

So weighted I might

Sink fast in the depths

Avoiding my fright

And loving the rest

The sea softly holds me

Poseidon awaits

My pulse shall skip free

While awaiting my fate

Pegasus’ pleasure

Gliding err the sun

Not too close to be sure

Do not melt your wings

As did someone else

But happiness swings

From sea bird to sea shell

Arising as enchantment sings

To bring me my due

As I treasure all

I will share it with few

If they hear the right call.

I make a world

In my mind

I’m a lacey girl

I am feminine fine

My rage is soothed

As the water and wind

Of fancy forsooth

Hercules strengthened

My resolve very nicely

And now that I’m here

I expect it’s precisely

My sweet music I hear.
