That’s Our Father’s Way
When a mother really loves her child
There is nothing she won’t give.
She’ll go to any lengths to see
That she flourishes and lives.
And when she asks for things, she tries,
Or stands fast while she cries
When the answer is no.
That’s our Father’s way.
She learned it from Him.
The answer isn’t always yes.
Trust in Him to know when is best
To show us another way another day.
That’s our Father’s way.
In dark and lonely times our lives
Seem out of our control.
We question whether He is there.
In a pretty sight or friendships shared
A little spark of light returns
Reminding us that He does care.
That’s our Father’s way
We learned it from Him
The answer isn’t always yes.
Trust in Him to know what’s best
And show us another day or another way
That’s our Father’s way.

As long as a parent cares for his or her child, it is our Father's way. :) Well done!
