On my knees I wept

While you walked away

In my heart I kept

A secret for another day.

In a way I was brand new again

With something new to think about

Something to ease the pain

Of knowing you and life without.

I grew in time

To find anew

Some reasons why

I should thank you

For leaving me

To bear this dream

A nightmare turned

Into my very real reality.

So after some many months I did

Give birth to the angel in my arms

She eases pain and memories hid

My salvation from your dangerous charms.

I wish I didn’t have to thank you

For giving this treasure to me

Alas and oh well, I guess it’s true …
