Hanging By A Thread
Hanging fragile by the
Delicate thread of a stem
From a twisted gnarled tree
Fluttering in the careless wind
Any random breeze could be
The final wave of farewell
No longer part of the tree and then
It’s a fallen dead, brown leaf
Swoosh of air kicks up
Twists and flutters and tugs
Will it be this innocent gust
That rends it from its home?

It's hard to believe you've only been on AD since January; if I may speak for all, you have grown on us here! It seems as though you have always been here.

How often do we feel as though WE are the ones hanging by a thread?
