Dream Storm
It’s not too late.
Dreams seem far away.
We are older, and tired,
Convinced by hurts in a way
That makes us feel like we got fired
From life.
But it’s not too late
To pick up that baton
Of courage, and renew
Our pledge to kneel upon
Life’s alter rather than sit back in a pew
And watch.
It’s not too late
To pack up all those dreams
And restart our journey when
We understand that death is the
Only thing that will separate them
From done.
It’s not too late
To understand that in spite
Of a painful, slow, unhappy start
Life is day by day our right
To change or keep or rip apart
To redesign.
It’s not too late
To realize that our gifts might often be
Different from the ones some folk can
Appreciate and see
But you’re a talented poet, a beautiful person and
In you I believe.
It’s not too late
To turn a new leaf from one that is worn,
And pluck up something new and fresh.
Be your own accomplishment STORM.
And leave in your wake, all of your best
Love and words.

I see so much of me in your words.....
Makes me think and love you more.
