Silver Tongued Dud

 

Did you ever have

 a wonderful phrase

Dancing around

 inside your head

Banging to get out

So you finally succumb

 and go type it

Into the

big white box that hums

I was actually

excited thinking

I would come up

 with a wonderful poem

Since the phrase

 that got me started

Was so very sage

 and sublime

But no, it was

 not to be

I thought and typed

 and thought more

And nothing worked,

nothing followed

It was too much

 to live up to

Well Kathy we do ake turns at being there, just about everyday I say thats it I am going to write an unforgetabl one this time, wrong again. great write that goes for each of us. Thank you for sharing.
