Beds of thorns frayed buds at birth,
petals laid barren
upon the cold earth.
Eyes watched
with dismay and sorrow
where was the hope
and promises of tomorrow?
Day turned into night
beneath the red eclipse,
a lonely bud bloomed
escaped the thorns prick.
A dove of white
magically appeared
was it a sign of hope
or was the end near?
With wings of hope
the dove took flight
guiding us to follow
into God's divine light.
To walk the path
traveled and worn,
to embrace his love
without the thorns.
To surrender
our bodies of the past,
to"live" within
his kingdom at last.

Bravo. The poem is woven beautifuly around the rhyme scheme. Sometimes rhyme seems forced but I don't feel that at all in this, it flows very nicely. Bravo.
When two men hit the reset button and decide to go out looking for the good in the world, they not only find it but also a lot more.
