Mother nature swam upon great waves of the sea
and understood, what will be .........will be.
Anguish cries were heard with fearful fright
followed by silence eight hours into the night.
Waves 300ft high crashed upon the eastern lands,
devastated floods destroyed child, woman and man.
Mountain peaks were beacons to those who took flight,
they had heard the warnings or had dreams of insite.
Early sunrise kissed the peaks of mountain views,
millions stood waiting to hear of any news.
What was to become of hopes and dreams,
vast sights only saw dolphins in new streams.
A voice was heard in a soft whisper against the wind,
mother nature once again spoke to us about our sins.
Learn the lesson and hear the cries of choice,
this disaster was made by mans spoken voice.
Take guardainship of this precious gift of life,
learn to live with each other without strife.
Follow the new leaders into the promise land,
walk with Gods son and follow his divine plan.
i think this is one of the best poems with needed very much needed expressions and information I have read so far good job!!! and thank you, i loved the picture

Good deep poem,I was just thinking how slow America is in addressing that particular, problem,all those Southern Belles would have to become Buoys.What a waste.
Would certainly extend the Everglades national park.
