Winter's Edge

Winters Edge My leaves turn from envy to shades of dying flames. They dance and dangle to a concerto played by Fall’s tyrant orchestra. The last leaf f a l l s and a skeleton I am amongst them all, baring and feeling more then the sun's scorn! Winter— my acrid friend, greets me with her solidified utterance, draping her icy gown upon my skyward tendrils. And she hides in the mist of her breath the sun waiting to exhale Springs gentleness. Petrified, I am held in her acrimonious embrace.

Hi Tracey, I've missed your poetry You write with
so much emotion and this is almost painful as the
cold can be. Those last two lines Wow!

I having trouble with this one First off it is fantastic so the trouble i speak of is getting all the meanings.
am i wrong in thinking it is about being striped bare with nothing but the coldness of emotion as a companion?

Interesting you made winter a "she" The overtones and undertones of this might start a revolution. (-:
