i slip into the night
and i try with all my might
to not make a scene
even with all the Brown Sugar in my
veins.....with a walk of saints
i maintain a ....."damn baby"
a......"Ow......Lady"
can i go with you?

but it doesn't matter cause either i will
or you will shatter what love was meant to be
so i flip you and receive
all that will lift me back above the concrete.......

walking through with my inside that do
all kinds of tricks
all kinds of flips
all kinds of memories that won't let me sleep
and my back is turned toward the future
cause i can't understand the past
cause the present was never meant to last
and the future has a mask.......that scards me shitless

alone in a crowd of people
alone in a crowded space
alone in a room full of brains
with smiling faces

fighting nausea....caused by simple conversation
holding back laughter....by lack of concentration
i fall deeper into my own world
were i cover my eyes
and fly
blind

tears fill a thousand bottles
lost at sea
cause the love that was meant for me
died along with the first world war
was locked behind the closing
of the first prison's door
was shot down with the last
flying dragon
now rotting along with maggots
buried deep in the hearts of faggots
who care more about preserving life
than i
so confined in silence
and hopes
and wishes
that maybe this time
i won't lose my mind
i won't get caught in the Black Tar
it won't go that far
cause yes i know "Jesus loves me....."
and "i want to let my little light shine......"
but i can't....i just can't find
it
with eyes covered
when i'm flying
blind

i'm aware of all the stares
even when the backs are turned
i'm aware of all the glares
caused by centuries burnt
i'm aware of the pity filled hearts
caused by the facts
i'm aware of all the silent thoughts
caused by shame filled acts
i'm aware that i will never reach certain heights
cause i'm flying with covered eyes
blind

Great impact - lots of excellent lines, like:
"and my back is turned toward the future
cause i can't understand the past..." Reading this, it comes at you like machine gun fire.

Wow, you've really got this stuff down. Normally I complain about abstract words like "love" in poems and the use of cliches. But here it works well juxtaposed against the grit and freshness of your original imagery. You write like a Scorcese films; you write real poetry.

Hi Gorgeous!

You are too frigging deep for this, you HAVE to get your works in a book; they'd sell like hot-cakes.

wow, great write! So much power felt through your words: I like

fighting nausea....caused by simple conversation
holding back laughter....by lack of concentration
i fall deeper into my own world
were i cover my eyes

blind

to often I shut my eyes and fly blind to the world of reality when nothing is going right, and I can't face the day, I turn on my music loud and leave it all behind... I know you can relate I see it in your work! Thanks for sharing.... Mommy to mommy of 6..Mauh

Excellent, Mitzi. Very powerful images in this one. Loved this image:

tears fill a thousand bottles
lost at sea
cause the love that was meant for me
died along with the first world war
was locked behind the closing
of the first prison's door
was shot down with the last
flying dragon
