Trapped

I wake up every morning seeing you
You glare at me, welcoming the new day
Looking at you, I wish I could feel the same
You have deprived me of my beauty

Shaking off the sadness
I set out with determination
Strangers smile as I make my rounds
Huffing and puffing I push on
I continue to push my mountain of a body!

Smelling fresh cooked breakfast,
From miles and miles away
My tummy cries out in agony
My mouth waters without shame
Ready to listen to voice of hunger
I make a 360 degree turn around
Grabbing my fresh sparkling water
I continue my marathon

In hot pursuit to escape from my trap
I have to remain focused
Gradually I start to see results, but
I still have to remain focused
Finally I reach the finish line
The mountain is gone
I have been set free!

An interesting and personal experience shared. So many different ways of feeling/being trapped.

Well done.

Have to work hard to conquer the mountain - the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak - I know - struggling with my mountain, now - well done.

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.

A loving walk through all that came before only to finally reach freedom of the mind and body, another goal accomplished, well done...

Be always safe,
Karen

Karma Bank to Following By Listening by Chiemi

These song lyrics and art are tales, tides and twinkling lights - tunes telling stories of warmth and sun, city and sand, paths that lead, and the coins we can keep in the Karma Bank. Spirit's been bypassed for sorrow, dreaming of a better tomorrow .
