I sat and watched as my hard drive died just the other day .
She left me on a friday in the merry mointh of May .
With no chance to say goodbye there was nothing I could save .
Always back up is what I've learnt from hard drives in the grave .
I sit befoe a blank screen and think of what had been .
Its a pity that some destroy while others like to dream .
Been there with the old hard drive crash. First time was enough to make we understand the word "BACK-UP"

Sigh... I suppose,my dear Paul, that calling it the "age of technology" then suggests there will be "old age" to deal with. Poor thing. Though a bit whimsical (and well done) I can so relate to your 'loss'... Your poem is one "for the ages"... (smile). katy xox.
