Many years have come and gone since the beginning of life on earth with many things unknown .

As I started thinking about some of the things we’ve done I thought I’d write them in a poem .

So Adam and Eve’s introduction
and good morning God .
Curtains up and the show was on .

Before saints and sinners there was an innocence that had existed .
It came and it gone .

Words failed to forgive man who found it hard to forget and couldn’t use his own common sense !

Now there is a security zone around the pearly gates with a perimeter fence .

Heavens gentle presence is always with us and that is the place all of us want to go .

Life is what happened here and you have given us a promise - that is all we need to know .

You’ve shared our dreams and heard our prayers and God somehow you did your best to make it all come true .

Compliments and complaints go hand in hand with your compassion that pours out forever too .

Thank you God for life and each year that passes and thank you for our precious brief passing time .

We must take time to thank you God because you are the life force within us that makes us shine .

Be with me and all who I come into contact with .
Bless them in a very special way .

God this poem tells of time spent with you and for now I have said all I want to say .

As expression would have it I can only say this is how I have known you so far .

Thank you for being my Father and a teacher . Thank you for everything that you are .
