In the busy noise it was hard to think what I had to say .

So I left all the distractions that were standing in the way .

With nothing in my pocket and no idea where I should go .

I went on a journey to a wilderness I didn't know .

It was there I found you in a quiet place inside my heart .

You showed me where I should go and how to make a brand new start .

So I climbed a mountain and started to write what I could see .

In a place amongst the stones there I fell down upon my knee .

Once again you spoke to me in my heart space sanctuary .

When all I had was nothing you filled the emptiness within .

Then with my pen and paper I found that writing could begin .

When you're climbing up a mountain its easy to have a fall ,

But I trusted you with my life and you answered when I called .

I wrote many things in the silence there on a mountain track .

I found the things I had to say because stones don't answer back .

After all was said and done I never once counted the cost

For in return you gave back to me much more than I had lost .

I had been walking through the world like a pilgrim on path ,

With faith for my companion , rods a pen and paper's the staff .

I travelled on and upwards never wanting to look back ,

I was on my way home to a destination , that's a fact .
