The street was bathed in soft moon light , I walked up to her door.

My heart was pounding out like it had never done before .

I thought about the girl I loved and wished that she was mine .

One day maybe I’ll get the nerve to ask her out in time .

More or less , I’m shy I guess so I think I’ll leave it there .

A little note , with a quote I wrote , secretly for her .

I placed a rose outside her door then tapped the window pane .

She stepped outside and looked around I watched her from the lane .

I wanted to call her name but instead I choose to hide .

She picked up the rose and smelt the scent then returned inside .

I saw her reflection behind the curtain in the room ,

I threw her a silent kiss under the light of the moon.

It was romantic and daring at least from where I hid .

I whispered a thought , I actually did it , yes I did .

The floated all the way home where she met me at the gate .

” Please stay with me a while “
She said ,
“ I know its getting late ,

but I saw you leave the rose and I wanted you to know ,

its not time for goodbye when there’s a chance to say hello .”

She reached out her hand to me and I took it gently there ,

We walked together for an hour
I fell in love with her .
She told me she that had waited for me to ask her out ,

I told her I was afraid as I always lived with doubt .

My fears took flight when we kissed that night outside her front door .

After that I was like a lion that found a mighty roar .

I am so lucky to have this lady who said hello .

We will stay together ,until its time for us to go .
