This world would never know ,
nor I -
the special child ,
who said goodbye .
You were such an innocent soul ,
with dreams that none of us could hold .
You left so soon ,
You soared on high ,
like a kite in a open sky .
Swept up by heavens wind at dawn ,
to a world that lies far beyond ,
this place -
Now you ‘re home I suppose ,
but in time ,
when only God knows ,
I’ll see you ,
where the angels fly ,
above the clouds passing us by ,
on the plains of paradise there ,
an eternity we will share .
You wrote this poem a day after my brother died, this poem could well be dedicated to him. It captured one's longing for the loved one to stay, and yet conveys the acceptance of meeting again...someday. Thank for this wonderful remembrance.
