He sits all day and stares into space and all he says is I don’t know .

He makes his way from room to room
An electric wheelchair helps him go .

He laughs a lot and hums along
With the music on the radio .

John comes to work on a special bus
And all he says is I don’t know .

Everyone knows John can’t do that much
But they’re happy to have him there ,

He’s an important role to play
Sitting in his electric wheelchair .

His eyes and ears are open wide
And he takes everything round him in ,

He’d like to work like all the rest
But doesn’t know where to begin .

John sits all day and says I don’t know ,waiting for help from someone there ,

but everyone’s so busy with things ,
they haven’t any time to spare .

Then at a quarter to four , John’s out the door and back onto the bus .

John loves to come to work each day
Where he sits and never makes a fuss .
